Overview
The Seiko GPS Astron SSE005 (8X82-0AB0) is a 45mm men's solar watch with a titanium case and a blue analog dial protected by sapphire crystal. It uses a 8X82 caliber quartz movement. The watch should run for up to 6 months when fully charged and will recharge when placed in the light. This watch can use GPS signals to set the time and time zone.

The case of the SSE005 measures approximately 45mm wide (not including the crown) by 13mm thick and is water resistant to 100 meters. This should be sufficient for splashes, rain, baths, showers & swimming (shallow diving) but is not recommended for scuba diving. The crown screws down to help prevent it from being accidentally pulled out while under water. The titanium bezel shows GMT cities and is fixed (cannot be rotated). The gap between the lugs is 22mm and the bracelet band can be adjusted to fit using a link removal tool or removed using a band removal tool to be replaced with another band.

- Chronograph that includes subdials for hours and minutes with a minimum resolution of 1/5 second and a maximum duration of 360 minutes. The central second hand is used by the chronograph. When the chronograph is not in use this hand is stationary. Seconds are shown on the seconds subdial.
- Date window to show the day of the month. Note that some watches may be damaged if you attempt to change the date between 8:00 PM and 2:00 AM, in which case you should change the time to be outside that range first then reset the time after adjusting the date. Check your watch manual for details.
- Perpetual calendar to correctly update the date based on the month and whether it is a leap year. Watches without a perpetual calendar must have their date adjusted after months with fewer than 31 days.
