SEIKO STQ001 Kinetic Watch
Overview
The Seiko STQ001 (5J21-0A70) is a 40mm men's kinetic watch with a stainless steel case and a silver analog dial protected by hardlex crystal. It uses a 5J21 caliber quartz movement that cannot be manually wound but can be hacked (the second hand stops when the crown is pulled out). The watch should run for up to 6 months when fully charged and will recharge when moved.
The STQ001 is currently ranked #292 in popularity out of 510 watches in this catalog. No retailer link is on file for .com; current availability is unknown. This watch is part of a family of three watches that are identical except for their color or strap. The case of the STQ001 measures approximately 40mm wide (not including the crown) by 12mm thick and is water resistant to 100 meters. This should be sufficient for splashes, rain, baths, showers & swimming (shallow diving) but is not recommended for scuba diving. The crown does not screw down which increases the risk that it could be pulled out accidentally while under water. The stainless steel bezel is fixed (cannot be rotated). The gap between the lugs is 20mm and the bracelet band can be adjusted to fit using a link removal tool but may be difficult to replace with another band due to the shape of the lugs.
The STQ001 provides the following features and complications:
- Second hand
- Minute hand
- Hour hand
